SiteBuilder 2.0 - Quick Start Guide
Getting to Know SiteBuilder
SiteBuilder helps you create a fully functional website utilizing design templates and content widgets. SiteBuilder uses a Drag and Drop gallery of widgets that can be used to add everything from a basic paragraph of text to a contact form. Getting started is easy, first let's get to know the SiteBuilder.

1. The following options are available above the application:
- Dashboard: Your dashboard gives the options of viewing a tutorial, adding a subdomain, viewing analytics, and selecting a quick start guide.
- Pages: Here you are able to add and manage the titles and number of additional pages you have in your website.
- Files: The File Manager is your repository for any images, text, videos, etc. that you wish to add to your site, whether via the Image widget, the Image + Styled Text widget or the HTML widget.
- Profile: The Profile Manager is where you will add your basic information as well as your PayPal email address for the purpose of the shopping cart.
- Publish: Once you have completed your website and set up your subdomain, you may select publish to show your site to everyone.
- Preview: The preview manager will let you view what your site will look like in a web browser.
- Help: For additional help, select the help button to view a complete tutorial that will help you with any questions you may have.
- Logout: This function allows you to log out of your application.
2. The following options can be found below the application.
- Template Options: Choose from a variety of templates and color schemes that best fit your web site design.

- Page Options: Here you may select different page layouts that give each page a different look.
Establishing a Subdomain
To select a subdomain for your site, follow the directions below.
1. Click the Dashboard link in the left corner of the upper toolbar.

2. On the Dashboard page, click on the "You have not chosen your subdomain name. Click here to choose one." link.

3. When you click the link, a dialog box will appear with instructions on how to create your Website subdomain. You may have to submit several subdomain requests if your first choice has already been taken by an existing user.

When you create your subdomain (e.g. http://MYSUBDOMAIN.1wp.com), please allow for a maximum of 10 minutes for your subdomain request to be processed.
IMPORTANT: Be sure that you are completely satisfied with the subdomain name you choose. After you’ve chosen a subdomain name, you cannot change or modify it in any way. However, you can change your domain name at any time by submitting a domain change request to customer support.
Adding Your Own Subdomain
You may use your own domain name but you are not required to purchase or assign a personal domain name to your SiteBuilder 2.0 account until you are absolutely ready. You are encouraged to try out the Sitebuilder before registering or reassigning an existing domain.
1. To assign an existing domain to your new website click on the Dashboard button in the upper left corner of the SiteBuilder.

IMPORTANT: You must choose a subdomain for your site on the 1wp.com domain in order for the Register Your Own Domain link to appear.
2. Click the “You have not chosen your subdomain. Click here to choose one.” button and then the Use Your Own Domain link in the upper right corner of the Dashboard tabbed page.

3. When you click the link, a dialog box should appear with detailed instructions for connecting your registered domain to your new SiteBuilder 2.0.
